By using Animal Symbols you agree to these terms. Please also read the Privacy notice.

What this is

A reflective tool that uses AI to suggest an animal symbol for your personality. It's for self-reflection, connection and entertainment — not psychological, medical, career or relationship advice, and not a substitute for professional mental health support. AI can be wrong; use your own judgement. If you're struggling, please contact a professional or a crisis line.

Accounts

• You must be 16 or older to create an account.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account anytime from your account page.

Your own AI key

If you connect your own AI key, you're responsible for that provider's charges and terms. We're not liable for costs on your provider account.

Connections and groups

• Connections are between two people and only start once the other person accepts. Either person can remove a connection at any time; it then disappears for both.
• Groups are for three or more people. The group's owner runs the shared group analysis, which every member can see.
• Connection analyses, your private notes and all chats are yours alone — the other person never sees them.
• Be kind and fair: don't use these tools to harass, manipulate or monitor anyone.

Weekly Thought and notifications

Members with a symbol who've used the app recently get a short Weekly Thought written by AI. In-app notifications tell you about requests, group updates and your thought; you can turn each off in Settings.

Premium

Premium isn't available yet. Nothing is charged today. Plans have limits on connections and groups. If Premium ever ends, nothing is deleted: items above the free limit become read-only, the Weekly Thought log is hidden and retakes lock until you upgrade again. Some features may be tested early with a small group of members before release.

Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break it, scrape it, overload it, or enter other people's personal information without their consent.

Content

Your result cards are yours. You give us permission to store and display them as you choose (for example share links and, if you opt in, the anonymous Symbol Map). The app's design, text and the book "Your Animal Symbol" remain the property of Tyler Simms.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect loss. Nothing here limits rights you have under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act or other consumer law.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll ask you to accept the new version next time you sign in. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
